Bandung, bandung! This city is definitely packed with loads of artists to discover. Elixer is this kind of band you can listen to forever without getting fed up! My favourite song is Winter Wonderland, the melody is kinda light and aerial, if I had to picture it, it would be those clouds you see through the window when you're in the plane!
Bandung, Bandung! Betul-betul suatu kota yang dipaket dengan banyak sekali artis-artis yg harus digali. Elixer adalah band yang bisa didengar sepanjang masa tanpa bosan. Lagu favorit saya adalah Winter Wonderland, dengan melodi yang ringan dan mudah, seperti awan yg kita lihat melalui jendela kapal terbang.




Hi Elixer! Once again, I m interviewing a band from Bandung ! Cascade, a band from bandung i ve once interviewed, defines Bandung’s music as « gloomy and atmospheric », how would you define it ?
We defines Bandung's music as unique and catchy. Because in Bandung, every music genre have a specific listener. For example, Burgerkill have Begundal as their die hard fans, Mocca have Swinging Stars, and Pure Saturday have Pure People. So, in Bandung you can find any kind of music.

Kita mendefinisikan musik Bandung sebagai sesuatu yang unik dan menarik karena di Bandung setiap jenis musik mempunyai pendengar khusus. The lead guitarist changed 2 times, which can be considered as important for a Rock Band. How did it influence your music ? Every personality in our band has a different attitude. We changed 2 times because we've finding lots of differences in vision and mission. And the changes really influences our music a lot. Our recent guitarist, Erfan, has a very influential personality.
Lead guitaris ganti 2 kali, yang mana dianggap penting untuk rock Band. Bagaimana itu mempengaruhi musik kamu?
Setiap kepribadian dalam band kami mempunyai sikap yang berbeda. Kami mengganti 2 kali karena adanya banyak perbedaan dalam visi dan misi. Pergantian itu sangat mempengaruhi musik kami. Gitaris baru namanya Erfan, mempunyai kepribadian yang berpengaruh besar.


What internet tool do you use the most to promote your music ? How ? Myspace, we promote our music, inform our gigs, and added our songs so people can download it.

Rock and Roll band from Jakarta, Indonesia. We’ve released 3 studio album through various local independent label (The Brandals 2003-Sirkus Record/ Audio Imperialist 2005- Flystation Record/ Brandalisme 2007 – Aksara Record).

Tell us a bit more about your upcoming album ? Any projects ?
Tentatively titled ‘DGNR8’. A more adventurous expansion through minimalist sound character. To be released sometimes in 2010.

Judul sementara adalah DGNR8 . Petualangan yang lebih luas dengan karakter minimalist sound. Akan diterbitkan dalam tahun 2010.
