Hi Voyagers of Icarie, please introduce yourself...
Voyagers of Icarie is a musical project started in 2002 and i would not consider this as a band because we dont have any steady members of musicians. As producer i tend to gather people to contribute for this project. So far musicians involved in contribution of either productions or performances are Budi Marcukundha, Monica Hapsari (most steady member), Irene Prix, Jorge Ruiz, Ishak Dharmawan, Iman Fattah, Adhianto Aryo, Jonathan Kusuma, Syafwin Bajumi, Andreas and more to come. Its musical output would be songs that are arranged in particular sequences within an album and particular sequences of album within the whole project to depict an observation in a hypothetical voyage of the icarians to the real world that we are living in.

Voyagers of Icarie adalah sebuah proyek musik yand dimulai tahun 2002, dan saya tidak menganggap ini sebagai sebuah band karena kita tidak punya anggota musisi yang tetap. Sebagai produser saya cenderung mengumpulkan teman-teman untuk kontribusi dalam proyek ini. Sejauh ini musisi yang tergabung dalam kontribusi baik dalam produksi maupun pertunjukkan adalah Budi Marcukundha, Monica Hapsari (anggota paling stabil), Irene Prix, Jorge Ruiz, Ishak Dharmawan, Iman Fattah, Adhianto Aryo, Jonathan Kusuma, Syafwin Bajumi, Andreas dan masih banyak lagi. Musiknya adalah lagu-lagu yang di susun dalam urutan khusus di dalam album dan urutan khusus album dari seluruh proyek untuk menggambarkan observasi pada perjalanan hipotetis Icarians menuju dunia realita dimana kita berada.

« Indie » is a term that Indonesian Bands are using more and more. What does that word mean to you ?
Indie => Independent => DIY related things.....this way no external constraints should matter to the beholder of the mentioned predicate.....supposedly, you can do whatever you want in any means necessary to convey your message.

Indie => Independent => DIY hal-hal yand terkait... Dengan ini tidak ada halangan dari luar yang berpengaruh untuk yang bersangkutan...Kamu bisa melakukan apa saja yang diinginkan dengan maksud mengirimkan pesan yang diinginkan.
Given that internet is becoming one of the most important tool for an artist to promote his music, do you think a label is still useful for an artist, or he could do everything by himself?
The internet has revolutionized the way the music industry is being run. I think the label will still serve much purpose to the artist, although functions might be shifted. Labels will become a collective manner to lure or even lead audiences into an experience within certain area of musical exploration, which of course this can also be done by an artist alone but with relatively less content and maybe impact.
Internet telah menjadi alat yang penting untuk artis mempromosikan musiknya, apakah label masih beguna untuk seorang artis, atau ia bisa melakukan segalanya sendiri?
Internet telah merubah cara menjalankan industri musik. Saya rasa label akan terus berguna untuk artis, walaupun fungsinya agak berubah. Labels menjadi cara kolektif untuk memikat atau membawa penonton merasakan dalam area tertentu explorasi musik, yand memang bisa dilakukan oleh artis sendiri tetapi akan kurang isi dan pengaruhnya.
